Yoga and meditation teacher training

I’m part of the teacher training faculties at Yogacampus, Yogahome and Yogarise, and offer a range of long trainings and short Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops in London and internationally online.

Most trainings are fully accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Before the course, I had done some – very scattershot – reading and begun observing classes and my reactions to them, forming early thoughts and questions. Learning from the teachers and absorbing their insights really focused my thinking process, especially around posture, alignment, and how our approach to these connects with philosophy. I also found the introduction to yoga history and ethics very stimulating, and I’m excited to learn more in the upcoming modules. Overall, quite enlightening!

The Meditation Series: 4 stand-alone workshops with an optional teaching qualification

I’m co-teaching this series of workshops with Graham Burns for Yogacampus live on Zoom. Each workshop is divided into 2 afternoon sessions. Book a workshop separately, or combine them all and add an additional series of tasks and assignments to gain a full teaching qualification.

The workshops are:

Meditation myths debunked

Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March 2026
14:30 – 17:30

What exactly is meditation? How and why do we do it? And why does it sometimes seem so difficult? This module will challenge some common preconceived ideas about meditation, discuss different meditation styles and techniques, and give you a practical structure for understanding meditation in a broad, non-dogmatic framework. Explore challenges and obstacles, and appreciate risks and cautions.

Meditation roots and shoots

Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 April 2026
14:30 – 17:30

Different historical traditions have given us different approaches to meditation, and meditation’s development continues up to the present day. In this module, learn, through lecture and practice, about the differences (and similarities) between meditation in different yoga traditions, Buddhism, and the modern mindfulness movement.

Guiding meditation

Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 January 2026
14:30 – 17:30

Have you ever wanted to be able to lead your friends, colleagues, or students in meditation, but are not sure how to go about it? This module will give you key techniques for structuring and guiding both stand-alone meditation practices and for incorporating meditation into general yoga classes, including tips around posture, use of language, and cautions and challenges. You do not need to be a yoga teacher to take this module!

Meditation is all in the mind (or is it?)

Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 February 2026
14:30 – 17:30

Modern scientific research continues to confirm the physical, mental, and neurological benefits of meditation. In this module, learn how meditation impacts the brain and nervous system, with a particular emphasis on stress relief. In addition we will explore trauma awareness and what it means to teach with inclusivity and diversity in mind. This module can be interesting for yoga teachers who want to learn more about inclusive teaching, difference and diversity without being purely interested in teaching meditation.

Additional teaching qualification

If you complete all four workshops, you can take an optional certification as a Yogacampus meditation teacher, which requires completion of the below tasks and assignments within 15 months of your first workshop:

  • Have a 30 minute private online conversation with Graham or myself to discuss your assignments and any questions you may have about the course materials.
  • Maintain a diary of your own personal meditation practice for at least 20 days in a 30 day period, and submit a summary of your reflections and insights from maintaining and journalling a regular practice.
  • Submit audio recordings of you guiding two different meditations, each of about 20 minutes in length (details will be provided).

You will receive written feedback on your diary reflections and audio recordings from Graham or myself.

Some voices from previous teacher training participants

Isabell and Graham are extremely knowledgeable and experienced teachers in their fields. I found them to be very patient, kind, caring, knowledgeable and very professional. They had sound understanding of working remotely and the complexities of zoom. I couldn't fault them or the course. It was a real pleasure to be taught by them. The best teachers ever with such knowledge and understanding of their subject yet could teach so that it was accessible to all.

I did not know what to expect when I signed up for the meditation teacher training but I am so glad I joined it. From the very beginning Graham and Isabell created a really safe space and clear framework for us to grow and learn. I loved the training weekends and thought that there was a great balance of practice, teaching and lectures/discussions on the cultural and historical background of meditation. I really liked the fact that the group was small and I loved the fact that we all taught each other - and learnt from each other. I could not recommend this course enough for anyone looking to deepen their practice, learn more about meditation and teach meditation one day.

This is a great course if you are new to meditation and you would like to begin or deepen your knowledge and practice, both for yoga students, new teachers and non yogis alike. The course is non dogmatic, so taking in consideration all different approaches and techniques. Graham and Isabell are very prepared, knowledgeable and nurturing teachers. I liked the balance between practice and lectures. I would highly recommend this course as a good foundation.

I loved how Isabell and Graham shared the teaching! It felt very smooth and not 'too much'. Perfect amount of theory and practical sections. They are super knowledgeable and I learnt a lot with them. They both teach in a very comprehensive way, so everyone can understand. I never felt uncomfortable in asking questions or share my thoughts, it was always a safe and non judgmental place.

I had an amazing experience with Yogacampus and Isabell and Graham! I am so grateful for the scholarship too, it wouldn't be possible for me to attend this course without that extra help. Thank you for the opportunity! I am leaving this course with so much positivity and awareness and I can't wait to share with others my knowledge and passion towards meditation.
